Move through your nursing journey with purpose. Our accelerated program blends online, interactive coursework with hands-on simulations alongside Tulane medical students, as well as clinical rotations across New Orleans. In just four consecutive semesters (60 credit hours), you will gain the knowledge, confidence, and compassion to deliver team-based care, serve diverse communities, and lead in today’s complex healthcare environments.

Gain hands-on experience in clinical and community settings across New Orleans, from hospitals to local outreach programs. In our skills lab and simulation environments, you’ll practice essential nursing concepts in a safe, hospital-like setting, building confidence before stepping into clinical rotations and making a meaningful impact beyond the bedside.

Train through advanced simulations, evidence-based practice, and immersive learning that mirrors real healthcare settings. With integrated online coursework and simulations, plus 720 clinical hours, you will graduate prepared for the demands of clinical practice.

Your Prerequisites Checklist

 

The accelerated BSN requires 25 total prerequisite credit hours.

All prerequisite courses must be: 

  • Completed at an approved, accredited institution
  • Completed within 10 years of applying to the program
  • Earned with a grade of C or higher 

Admission standards: 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA across prerequisite courses
  • Each prerequisite course may be repeated once
  • Earning a C- or below twice in the same course results in ineligibility 

Admission requirements: 

  • At least 60 undergraduate credits from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA for transfer applicants
  • Completion of SoPA core curriculum requirements
  • Must meet the Program of Nursing’s technical standards
  • Video submission required as part of the application
  • Must submit a letter of academic good standing if previously enrolled in a nursing program
